MUNICH (Sputnik) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and his French counterpart Manuel Valls praised each other’s speeches at the Munich Security Conference on Saturday.
"I am impressed by your speech, it was very exact and precise," Medvedev told Valls.
"Your statement left a big impression on me too, the performance was very specific and clear," the French prime minister said in answer.
The Munich Security Conference is an international, nongovernmental, independent forum for discussing major security issues. Founded in 1962 to facilitate consultations between NATO member countries, it now involves representatives from Central and Eastern Europe, South Asia, and the Middle East, as well as former Soviet states. This year the conference is taking place on February 12-14.
