MOSCOW (Sputnik) – On January 25, Bahraini Information Minister Isa bin Abderrahman Hamadi said that the Bahraini king might visit Russia in February.
"[Russian] president will continue working in Sochi on Monday. The visit of Bahraini King Al Khalifa will take place," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
He added that the two leaders will hold negotiations in both a narrow and expanded format.
Russia and Bahrain look to potentially cooperate in the fields of energy and arms trade. Moscow and Manama are expected to discuss liquefied natural gas (LNG) supplies to the new LNG terminal under construction in Bahrain as well as the delivery of Russia-developed aircraft and helicopters to the Gulf country.
