The source told Sputnik that the talks should be about a political transition in Syria not about focusing the attention on the oppositions'demands.

GENEVA, February 2 (Sputnik) — The Riyadh-formed opposition made a tactical mistake by demanding the ceasefire and humanitarian corridors from the government prior to the Intra-Syrian talks in Geneva, a source close to the talks told Sputnik on Tuesday.

"It was a tactical mistake on the part of the opposition to insist on ceasefire and cessation of bombing, and opening humanitarian corridors prior to the negotiations," the source said.
