"The call to strengthen control, outlined in the European Parliament's resolution, of the implementation of EU's unmotivated ban on military and dual-use goods to Russia as a country with 'incompatible' strategic interests raises questions," the ministry said in a statement.
The ministry added that such an approach was not in compliance with international law, as well as the interests of EU member states.
Russia’s relations with Europe have been strained since the start of fighting in eastern Ukraine in early 2014.
The West has accused Moscow of interference in Ukraine's internal affairs and imposed targeted sanctions on key sectors of Russian economy – energy, defense and banking. EU sanctions were prolonged for another six months at a meeting of the EU Council earlier this week.
