MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry discussed in a telephone conversation the coordination of efforts aimed at boosting cooperation between Syrian opposition groups that reject terrorism, the Russian Foreign Ministry said Saturday.
"The coordination of Russian and Egyptian efforts aimed at facilitating cooperation of the Syrian opposition groups that reject terrorism, for the speedy establishment of the intra-Syria dialogue, as stipulated by the 2012 Geneva Communique, was discussed during the conversation," the ministry said in a statement.
Both countries’ foreign ministers also confirmed the determination to implement the agreements reached in Vienna on the elaboration of a list of terrorist groups operating in Syria.
