BELGRADE (Sputnik) — Moscow-Ankara relations are currently strained over Turkey downing the Russian Su-24 front-line bomber over Syria due to alleged Turkish air space violation.
On Tuesday, the Russian government backed a proposal by Russian President Vladimir Putin to impose restrictions against Turkey due to security concerns in light of the November 24 incident with the Russian Su-24.
On Wednesday, Cavusoglu said Ankara was ready to hold a dialogue with Moscow to settle the bilateral crisis but did not intend to waive its sovereign rights.
