RIYADH (Sputnik) — On Tuesday, the 4th Summit of South American-Arab countries took place in the Saudi capital Riyadh.
“We urge… to discuss an issue of signing an agreement on a free trade, avoidance of double taxation and on inducement and protection of investments of states of both regions,” King Salman said Tuesday during the opening ceremony of the summit.
He added that close ties in economy would help both Arab and Latin American states to overcome financial problems.
During the summit, delegates from the 22 Arab and 12 Latin-American countries will consider a number of issues related to security and economic development of the both regions. In particular, the Syrian, Libyan and Yemeni crises, as well as the territorial dispute between Argentina and Britain over the ownership of the Falkland Islands will be discussed.
