MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Kiev is using militarization and force to solve internal problems, Mikhail Popov said.

According to the security official, Kiev deliberately attempts to persuade Ukrainians that Russia is the enemy, and fuels nationalist sentiment.

"Kiev has taken a firm course on militarization, continues to blatantly aim for a military solution to existing domestic disputes and an escalation of tensions on the border with Russia," Popov told reporters, commenting on Ukraine's new military doctrine.
