According to the publication, this is the true goal of Washington's campaign allegedly aimed at destroying the Islamic State but to cover it up the US launched a massive media campaign to demonize Moscow. Contra Magazin dismissed such claims as "pure nonsense" since Russia "is the only country which the Syrians formally approached to fight terrorism."
Moscow came to the rescue as quickly as possible. It took Russia only four days to transport fighter jets, helicopters and personnel to a base in Syria and launch airstrikes against ISIL targets, the media outlet explained.
"Within three weeks ISIL was crushed. The ongoing bombing campaign is aimed at getting rid of militants in coastal areas. Russia and Syria can now … hold talks with opposition groups and call an international conference. The US is fuming," Contra Magazin noted.
The media outlet added that Putin, unlike Obama, improved his image by adhering to diplomacy and political veracity.
