LONDON (Sputnik) — Great Britain does not consider relations with Russia 'frozen or stagnant' as London maintains contacts with Moscow at all levels, a spokesperson for the UK Foreign Office said Monday.
"We do not see the UK and Russia’s bilateral relationship as frozen or stagnant. Dialogue continues at all levels in areas of shared interest. The Iran nuclear agreement is an example of the scope for productive cooperation," the spokesperson told RIA Novosti.
Russia's Ambassador to the United Kingdom Alexander Yakovenko said earlier on Monday that London had almost completely suspended political dialogue with Moscow in light of Russia’s stance on the Syrian civil war and the Ukrainian crisis.
