No Concerns in Russia Over China's Military Industrial Complex

Russia has no concerns over China’s development of its military industrial complex, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov said Wednesday.

NIZHNY TAGIL (Sputnik) – Relations between Russia and China have reached their highest peak ever, the Russian diplomat added.

“Relations with China right now are so deep, tight, and productive as they have ever been,” Ryabkov said.

He said that Moscow sees no reason to worry about China’s development of its military industrial complex.

“We see no reason to worry about the level of China’s development in its military components,” Ryabkov added.

Last week China held a military parade in Beijing, marking the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II. Leaders and high-ranking officials from almost 50 countries, including Russian President Vladimir Putin, attended the celebrations.

About 12,000 servicemen have taken part in the parade, including 11 infantry phalanxes, a mechanized convoy of 27 formations and ten echelons of aviation.

The honorary closing position in the Thursday's parade was granted to three Russian units, representing the Ground Forces, Air Force and Navy of the Russian Federation.
