MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russia is concerned about the eruption of violence during clashes between police and protesters in the Ukrainian capital on Monday, but considers the incident in Kiev as Ukraine's internal affair, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.

"We followed the eruption of violence [in Kiev] with concern," Peskov told reporters.

"We, undoubtedly, deplore such outbursts of violence and consider them unacceptable. In any case, whatever is happening there [in Ukraine] we view it as Ukraine's internal matters," Peskov said.
