German President Joachim Gauck and US President Barack Obama will hold a meeting on October 7 to discuss issues of the cooperation between the two countries.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — German President Joachim Gauck will meet with US President Barack Obama in Washington in October, White House announced in a press release on Friday.

“Obama will host President Joachim Gauck of Germany for a meeting in the Oval Office on Wednesday, October 7,” the release read.

The White House said the two leaders will discuss ways to strengthen the bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
