Russian President Putin approved the document "notifying the Estonian side of the Russian Federation's intention not to be party to the Protocol to the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Estonia on legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases."

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Russian President Putin has approved a government proposal to cancel the agreement on mutual extradition of criminals with Estonia, according to a document published Friday on Russia's official legal information website.

The document stipulates "notifying the Estonian side of the Russian Federation's intention not to be party to the Protocol to the Agreement between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Estonia on legal assistance and legal relations in civil, family and criminal cases of January 26, 1993, signed in Moscow on October 3, 2001."
