Russian FM to Meet North Korean Counterpart on ASEAN Sidelines Tuesday

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will meet with North Korean counterpart Lee Yong Soo on the sidelines of the (ASEAN) forum Tuesday, the Russian delegation announced.

KUALA LUMPUR (Sputnik) – Earlier, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov told RIA Novosti that Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov would arrive in Malaysia on August 5 to take part in the 48th meeting of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

“The sides are expected to discuss bilateral relations and the issues of settlement in the Korean peninsula,” the delegation told RIA Novosti in the Malaysian capital Kuala Lumpur.
