MOSCOW (Sputnik) — UK Independence Party (UKIP) leader Nigel Farage said Thursday his party will lead a campaign for a United Kingdom exit from the European Union and challenge Prime Minister David Cameron’s EU renegotiation plans.
Cameron has pledged to hold a referendum on the United Kingdom’s EU membership by the end of 2017. Prior to the vote, he intends to renegotiate the terms of Britain’s membership in the bloc, including a request for greater autonomy in defining migration policy.

A survey by pollster ORB, published earlier this week, suggests that currently 55 percent of those UK citizens answering a questionnaire want their country to stay in the 28-member bloc, and 45 percent desire to leave.
