MOSCOW (Sputnik) According to the statement, the sides "noted that the process of the implementation of the Minsk agreements is still fragile."

"Both ministers reaffirmed the commitment to continue applying pressure on conflicting sides in Ukraine to ensure the full implementation of the "package of measures" adopted in Minsk on February 12," the statement said.

On February 12, Russia, France and Germany mediated a ceasefire in southeastern Ukraine between Kiev forces and local militia, which came into force on February 15.

The measures, stipulated in the agreement, included withdrawal of heavy artillery from the line of contact, an all-for-all prisoner swap and constitutional reforms in Ukraine, among other points.

Earlier in June, the fighting in eastern Ukraine, including in the town of Marinka, intensified in violation of the ceasefire. Kiev-led forces admitted using heavy artillery despite the Minsk peace agreements.
