Russia to Retain Credentials in PACE

The Council of Europe’s Monitoring Committee has decided not to annul the credentials of the Russian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly for the Council of Europe (PACE), a source told Sputnik while the committee is holding a meeting in Paris.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — At a January 2015 session, the Assembly voted to prolong restrictions against Russia, saying its delegation could have the voting powers back if Russia demonstrated substantial progress in the dialogue with Strasbourg on Ukraine.

"The meeting decided not to annul Russian credentials," the source in the Monitoring Committee said.
