ROME (Sputnik) – During an interview with Italy’s Il Foglio newspaper, Paolo Gentiloni said he plans to discuss a wide range of topics with Sergei Lavrov, including the fight against international terrorism.
“I believe that it is in our interests, I mean in the interests of the West and Russia to have a space for common initiatives against terrorism,” Gentiloni said.
The Italian top diplomat also said that he would also meet with Lavrov during a summit in Paris on June 2 where an overall strategy against the Islamic State would be discussed.
