India and China have signed numerous business agreements worth over $22 billion in the framework of an ongoing bilateral business forum, the Indian external affairs ministry said Saturday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) — Addressing the forum, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated earlier on Saturday that India offers “historic opportunity” for Chinese industry.

During the meeting, the two leaders discussed a number of pressing issues, including a long-time border dispute.

Relations between India and China, the world’s two most populous countries and major, rapidly growing economies, have been soured by decades of disagreements over several border areas.

Over the last years, the two countries’ authorities have worked to put an end to historic mistrust and develop their political and economic cooperation.
