The White House authorized the delivery of 12 F-16 fighter jets, 20 Harpoon anti-ship missiles and 123 M1A1 tank kits to Egypt, according to US National Security Council spokesperson Bernadette Meehan.
President Barack Obama also told his Egyptian counterpart that he would "continue to request an annual $1.3 billion in military assistance to Egypt," according to the White House press release.
The United States began partially withdrawing their military aid to Egypt following the overthrow of Egyptian President Mohamed Mosri in July 2013.
