"Syrian government officials acknowledged the efforts made by Moscow to settle conflict in Syria and confirmed its commitment to constructive participation in talks hosted by Moscow," the statement said.
On January 26-29, Moscow hosted the first Syrian peace talks since a UN-backed conference in Geneva last year failed to yield any significant results.
The January talks brought representatives of the Syrian government and the opposition to the negotiation table in a bid to find a solution to the Syrian crisis.
In early February, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov expressed hope that the intra-Syrian consultations in Moscow would help create a full-fledged dialogue between the government and opposition and pave the way for peaceful reconciliation.
