Tehran is bending every effort to reach a successful deal with the P5+1 group over its nuclear program, an Iranian diplomat said.

VIENNA, November 23 (Sputnik) — Iran hopes the nuclear talks in Vienna will help the sides reach the most comprehensive deal possible, an Iranian diplomat close to the delegation told reporters Sunday.

"The best and the most comprehensive [deal] that could be reached in the short time remaining," the source said answering a question on what Iran expects to reach in the final round of talks in Vienna.

"There are only two days left, and they are using every minute, so let's see how much they can make in the remaining time," he added.

The West suspects Iran of developing nuclear weapons, while Tehran has repeatedly emphasized the peaceful nature of its nuclear program.

During talks in Geneva in November 2013, Iran the P5+1 group, comprising Russia, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, China and Germany, agreed to reach a long-term comprehensive agreement, which would guarantee the peaceful nature of Tehran's nuclear program by July 2014. The deadline, though, was later extended to November 24.

The final round of the nuclear talks began in Vienna Tuesday.
