The 44th Tokyo Motor Show kicked off on Wednesday. This year, the event goes futuristic under the slogan "Technology and Fantasy". Eco-friendly technologies and new sources of energy became the trendsetters of the show.

The FCV Plus concept can generate and share energy which can be used to power a house, a company representative explained. The car is also can serve as a general-purpose electricity generator.

Isuzu rolled out the first ever biofuel-powered bus. It consumes biofuel made with the green euglena algae. The bus has been in use for one year in the Japanese city of Fujisawa.
