The MAKS-2015 Aviation and Space Show will take place on August 25-30 in the city of Zhukovksy, outside Moscow. The principal goal of the event is to demonstrate the technological level and openness of the Russian market for joint projects with foreign partners.

A total of 81 aircraft will be involved in demonstration flights during the MAKS-2015 air show. Visitors will have a chance to see flights and aerobatic maneuvers from the Su-30, Su-27, MiG-29, Yak-130, L-39, Yak-52, Yak-54 and the Mi-28 helicopter.

The heavy transport aircraft was developed by the Myasishchev design bureau in the 1980s. The VM-T was used to carry rocket boosters and the Soviet space shuttles of the Buran program.

The VM-T Atlant is part of the static exposition of the MAKS-2015 show. The heavy transport aircraft was developed by the Myasishchev design bureau in the 1980s. The VM-T was used to carry rocket boosters and the Soviet space shuttles of the Buran program.
