The MAKS-2015 Aviation and Space Show will take place on August 25-30 in the city of Zhukovksy, outside Moscow. The principal goal of the event is to demonstrate the technological level and openness of the Russian market for joint projects with foreign partners.
Russia will demonstrate both current advancements in military and civil aviation, and advanced developments for the aviation of tomorrow.

A total of 81 aircraft will be involved in demonstration flights during the MAKS-2015 air show. Visitors will have a chance to see flights and aerobatic maneuvers from the Su-30, Su-27, MiG-29, Yak-130, L-39, Yak-52, Yak-54 and the Mi-28 helicopter.

Over 600 Russian and 150 foreign companies from 25 countries will participate in the air show, according to the Russian Trade Ministry.

The Russian Air Force will be represented by five aerobatic teams, including the Russian Knights, the Swifts, the Russian Falcons, the Golden Eagles and the Wings of Taurida.

The Russian Defense Ministry is expected to ink a deal on purchasing 48 Su-36 4++ generation supermaneuverable jet fighters at MAKS-2015.

A historic exhibition devoted to World War II will be organized for visitors. It will feature the I-15BIS and MiG-3 fighters, DC-3 transport aircraft and the I-153 Chaika aircraft.

The VM-T Atlant is part of the static exposition of the MAKS-2015 show. The heavy transport aircraft was developed by the Myasishchev design bureau in the 1980s. The VM-T was used to carry rocket boosters and the Soviet space shuttles of the Buran program.

The MAKS International Air and Space Show is a biennial air show established in 1993.

This year, the exhibition facilities will cover an area of more than 180,000 square meters, with an open-air facility of 152,000 square meters.

More than 400,000 people are expected to visit MAKS-2015, according to the organizers.
