Authorities ordered a partial evacuation of the Juneau airport on Tuesday after a .22 caliber bullet was found on a passenger ramp prior to a flight.

According to Juneau police, the bullet was found Tuesday morning in a secure area, which prompted the removal of two Alaska Airlines planes. Police took the bullet as evidence, and passengers were removed from the departure lounge.

Airport Manager Patty deLaBruere told the Associated Press that Alaska Airlines flights 61 and 62 were delayed for about 30 minutes. After law enforcement officials cleared them for takeoff, both flights were boarded.
