The Defense rested after calling only four witnesses to testify in the court case against Tsarnaev. One of the witnesses was an FBI fingerprint examiner who testified that Tsarnaev’s fingerprints were not found on any of the bomb components. Fingerprints of Tamerlan Tsarnaev, Dzhokhar’s deceased older brother were found on the components.
Tsarnaev faces 30 charges, 17 of which carry the possibility of death penalty. His defense team have admitted his involvement in the Boston Marathon Bombing, but lay the core of the blame on his older brother, Tamerlan.
