Russia’s state arms exporter Rosoboronexport plans to sell more than $13-billion-worth of weapons this year, CEO of Rosoboronexport’s parent corporation Rostec Sergey Chemezov said Wednesday.

IRKUTSK (Sputnik) – Rosoboronexport is responsible for over 85 percent of Russian arms and military technology export, according to the Rostec state technologies corporation.

Last year’s Rosoboronexport arms sales deals also amounted to around $13 billion.

"This year we plan to sell arms and weapons worth more than $13 billion," Chemezov told RIA Novosti.

Earlier in June, Chemezov announced that the export portfolio of Rosoboronexport reached $48 billion.
