Estonia Launches Drills Near Russian Border With US Troops Involved
TALLINN (Sputnik) — The Spring Storm drills, which are due to run between May 2 and 20, will involve 6,000 troops, according to the Estonian military. The participants include domestic units, as well as NATO troops from a number of countries, including Belgium, Canada, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, the United Kingdom and the United States.

"Four Su-22 fighters of the Polish Air Force have landed today at the Amari Air Base to participate in the 'Spring Storm' drills," the statement reads.

It was added in the statement that the Polish Air Force was participating in Estonia-hosted drills for the fourth time.

NATO has been increasing its military presence in Eastern Europe and the Black Sea since the outbreak of the conflict in southeastern Ukraine in April 2014, in response to what it considers to be Russia's aggressive foreign policy.

Moscow has repeatedly dismissed the Ukraine-related accusations leveled at it, warning that increased NATO activities near the country's borders could undermine regional and global stability.
