Russian Troops Conduct Live Fire Drills in Eastern Military District

Russian Eastern Military District radiation, chemical and biological defense troops conducted live fire drills as part of tactical exercises held in the Zabaikalsky Territory, the district’s spokesman said Monday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – "Over the course of the exercises with the soldiers, a tactic of carrying out combat operations with the use of so-called pockets of fire has been worked out," Alexander Gordeev said.

The shooting was carried out in single shots and bursts out of flame throwers armed with various types of ammunition on targets simulating enemy weaponry, hardware and an assembly of manpower, the spokesman added.
