MOSCOW (Sputnik) — The Russian Defense Ministry on Wednesday handed a map depicting the current operational situation in Syria to the US defense attache in Moscow, the ministry's press service said.
"The Defense Ministry handed a map of the operational situation in Syria to the US defense attache assigned to the US Embassy," the press service said in a statement.
On Monday, Russia and the United States, the co-chairs of the International Syria Support Group (ISSG), negotiated a ceasefire between the warring parties in Syria to go into effect on February 27. The agreement has been approved by the other 17 members of the ISSG.
