Seoul intends to enhance cooperation with Washington, Tokyo, Moscow and Beijing amid growing threat from Pyongyang, South Korean President Park Geun-hye said Tuesday.

TOKYO (Sputnik) — Last week, Seoul suspended cooperation with Pyongyang at the jointly-run Kaesong industrial park following a launch of a long-range ballistic rocket in the North. In return, Pyongyang severed all emergency contact lines with the South.

Despite limited industrial cooperation, South and North Korea are still legally at war as no peace treaty between them was signed after the Korean War of 1950-1953.

"We will strenghen cooperation with our ally US, as well as trilateral cooperation between the Republic of Korean, the United States and Japan. We will also attach great importance to solidarity with China and Russia," Park said in a nationally televised address to the parliament, South Korean news network YTN reported.
