WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The United States has approved a $180 million sale of military aircraft to Australia, the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency announced in a release on Monday.

“The State Department has made a determination approving a possible Foreign Military Sale to Australia for CH-47F aircraft, related equipment and support. The estimated cost is $180 million,” the release said.

According to the agency, the sale includes three Chinook Helicopters, six Aircraft Turbine Engines, three Common Missile Warning Systems as well as three Infrared Signature Suppression Systems.
