The discussion involved topics in the military and military-technical spheres, as well as American investment into the country, reports the press service of the Ukrainian president.
“The parties discussed closer cooperation between the United States and Ukraine in matters of cybersecurity in the military and military-technical cooperation and support reforms in Ukraine, particularly in the energy sector. Special attention was paid to attracting, protecting the US investments in Ukraine and privatization of US companies in our state,” the press service said in a statement, reports RIA Novosti.
The two sides exchanged views on the state of implementation of the Minsk agreements. Poroshenko expressed gratitude for the consistent and strong support of the United States to Kiev and noted the need for further steps to de-escalate the situation and implement measures previously agreed by the parties in the security, humanitarian and political spheres.
According to the press service, the head of the delegation of the US Congress, Nancy Pelosi, expressed words of solidarity of the American people to further support Ukraine and Kiev.
