US Announces Aggressive Plans to Build Up Forces on Russia's Borders

Earlier on Tuesday, US Defense Secretary Ashton Carter announced that the United States would place some 250 tanks, armored vehicles and military equipment in Eastern Europe, including Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, and Romania.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that a US deployment of heavy weaponry in Eastern Europe would be an aggressive step that could prompt Russia to build up military forces along NATO’s border.
