Russian Presidential Aide Vladimir Kozhin says that Russia’s foreign partners, including China and India, have expressed interest in purchasing new military equipment presented at the May 9 Victory Day parade in Moscow.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russia’s foreign partners, including China and India, have expressed interest in purchasing new military equipment presented at the May 9 Victory Day parade in Moscow, including the Armata tank, Russian Presidential Aide Vladimir Kozhin has told the Izvestia newspaper.

"To a larger extent it is our traditional partners: India, China and South-East Asia," Kozhin said, adding, however, that although "interest [in the new technology] has been expressed," foreign buyers are "satisfied" with the current contracts on the delivery of Russian equipment.

Russia's New Armata Tank Can Be Upgraded to Robot - Official
The Russian Defense Ministry unveiled its new Armata battle tank at the Victory Day military parade held in Moscow on May 9 in celebration of WWII victory over Nazi Germany.

The tank is operated by a crew of three, housed in an armored capsule at the front. Its main armament includes a 7.62 mm remote-control machine gun and a 125 mm smoothbore cannon.

Russia's defense industry was targeted by Western sanctions imposed against the country over Moscow's alleged role in the Ukrainian crisis. According to Kozhin, the restrictions have not affected Russia's arms exports and could never lead to the collapse of the country's defense industry.
