Russian Defense Minister Arrives in Tajikistan for CSTO Meeting

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu has arrived in Tajikistan where he will participate in the Collective Security Treaty Organization’s defense ministers’ meeting on June 4.

DUSHANBE (Sputnik) – The defense ministers will discuss the future development of military cooperation among the CSTO member states, Defense Ministry’s press service head Gen.Maj. Igor Konashenkov said.

“During the meeting, there will be a wrapup of snap combat readiness exercises for the CSTO’s collective forces contingent held between May 12 and May 22 of this year.”

The CSTO includes Russia, Tajikistan, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.
