Two Rockets Fired From Gaza at Israel - IDF
16:53 GMT 02.06.2018 (Updated: 17:37 GMT 02.06.2018) Two rockets targeting Israel have been fired from the Gaza Strip, with one of them intercepted by the Israeli air defense system and second one failing to reach the target, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said Saturday.
According to military officials, no one has been hurt and no damage has been caused.
Earlier, it was reported that the sirens went off in the Eshkol and Kissufim regions near the south of the Strip.

The news comes in the light of the recent escalation of tensions and the exchange of fire between the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and the Israeli forces. On Tuesday, the IDF said that numerous mortars had been fired at various targets in Israel from the Gaza Strip, with the Iron Dome aerial defense system intercepting most of them.
The shelling continued through the night after which the Hamas radical movement announced that a truce had been reached with the Israeli side with the help of Egypt's mediation.
Tensions between the Israeli and Palestinians flared up amid the Great March of Return rally. Mass Palestinian protests began in Gaza on March 30 and lasted until the so-called Nakba Day on May 15 — the day that commemorates the 70th anniversary of the Palestinian exodus that occurred as a result of Israel's declaration of independence in 1948.
