According to the Russian reconciliation center, more than 360 militants have laid down their arms and left Aleppo in 24 hours, said Wednesday.

MOSCOW (Sputnik)- More than 360 militants have laid down their arms and left insurgent-held areas of the Syrian city of Aleppo in 24 hours, the Russian reconciliation center said Wednesday.

"As many as 366 militants have laid down their arms and left for the western part of the city. According to a decision of the Syrian president, 329 militants were granted amnesty," the statement read.

According to the center, as many as 16 hectares (almost 40 acres) of eastern Aleppo territory were demined by Russian sappers in the same period of time.
