Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed in a phone call on Friday to step up efforts to ensure reliable deliveries of humanitarian aid to residents of Syria's besieged city of Aleppo, Turkey's Anadolu news agency reported.

Putin, Erdogan Discuss Syria, Joint Fight Against Terrorism
MOSCOW (Sputnik) — According to the agency, the Turkish president informed Putin about the ongoing Turkish military operation in northern Syria and stressed the importance of joint fight against Daesh and other terrorist groups.

The presidents also discussed normalization of Russia-Turkey relations and agreed to hold a meeting on the sidelines of a September 4-5 summit of G20 leaders in China, Anadolu said.
