WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — Earlier in the day, Iraq's Joint Operation Command said Iraqi and coalition air forces destroyed some 200 vehicles with hundreds of Daesh terrorists in them.
"Strikes against those vehicles resulted in… a total of more than 150 vehicles being destroyed," Earnest stated on Thursday.
US media reported that the operation involved helicopters and airplanes.
The US-led coalition of more than 60 nations has been conducting airstrikes in Syria and Iraq against Daesh since the summer of 2014.
