TEL AVIV (Sputnik) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to Turkey is not yet under discussion, the Israeli leader’s spokesman Ofir Gendelman told Sputnik on Tuesday, after a rapprochement that heralded an end to six years of enmity.
"At present, the Prime Minister’s visit to Turkey is not discussed," Gendelman said on the day when the senior diplomats of both countries signed normalization deals in Jerusalem and Ankara.
The return of Turkish and Israeli ambassadors to respective capitals, humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip and bolstered Israeli-Turkish economic cooperation are subject to parliamentary and government ratification.
