BEIRUT (Sputnik) – Syrian government forces drove militants out of two villages in eastern Damascus suburbs on Thursday, a source familiar with the situation told Sputnik.
Army now keeps advancing toward Shebaa neighborhood of Damascus.
Earlier local media reported that government forces managed to liberate a village of Deir al-Asafir, 10 miles away from Damascus, but the information remains unconfirmed by the the country's authorities.
