DAMASCUS (Sputnik) – Three people were injured when shells fell on a maternity hospital in the Muhafaza neighborhood, less than a week after it was targeted for another attack.
Mortar fire was also directed at Sheikh Maqsoud and Maidan districts, injuring several more civilians.
Last week, the Russian military accused the Daesh and al-Qaeda linked Nusra Front groups of launching attacks at Aleppo as well as in Syria’s Homs province.
A US-Russia-brokered ceasefire came into force across Syria on February 27, but it does not apply to terrorist organizations active in the country, such as Nusra Front, which is outlawed in many countries, including Russia.
