UN Syria Envoy Will Name Date for Next Intra-Syria Talks After ISSG Meeting

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – The Kremlin believes it is premature to talk about what to expect from the upcoming International Syria Support Group (ISSG) meeting, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said Monday.

The ministerial-level ISSG meeting is set to be held in Vienna on Tuesday.

“It is too early to say,” Peskov said, when asked about Moscow’s expectations of the meeting.

On Sunday, a source at the intra-Syrian talks told Sputnik in the ISSG is likely to make concrete decisions on the composition of the Syrian transitional governing body at the upcoming meeting in Vienna.
