Death toll from the strike on the Al-Quds hospital in the Syrian city of Aleppo has climbed to 50, according to the Doctors Without Borders (MSF) statement issued on Friday.

ALEPPO (Sputnik) – The hospital supported by the charity organization was attacked on April 28. According to the MSF, it was destroyed by at least one airstrike which directly hit the building.

“Death toll has now risen to more than 50. Patients and at least six medical staff are among those killed”, MSF wrote on its website.

MSF: At Least 14 Killed in Airstrike on Aleppo Hospital
As it is written in the statement, MSF is desperately worried about the estimated 250,000 Syrians in increasing danger of being totally cut off and without medical care.

The US State Department placed responsibility for the attack on Syrian government forces.

The Syrian Armed Forces said in a statement that media reports of airstrikes carried out by the Syrian Air Forces against a hospital in Aleppo are detached from reality.
