Russian Legislators to Visit Syria, Hope to Meet Top Officials during Visit

A member of the Russian lower house and a delegation member said that Russian parliamentarians currently in Syria on a working visit and a humanitarian mission expect to hold meetings with the country's government officials.

MOSCOW (Sputnik) – Russian parliamentarians currently in Syria on a working visit and a humanitarian mission expect to hold meetings with the country's government officials, Alexander Yushchenko, a member of the Russian lower house and a delegation member, said Saturday.

"We have arrived for a working visit, meetings are planned with parliamentarians and representatives of Syria's executive authorities," Yushchenko told RIA Novosti.
