ANKARA (Sputnik) – Six warplanes struck PKK camps in Bazian and Avasheen regions of the neighboring country, the general staff said without providing further details.
Kurds in northern Iraq have been subjected to numerous Turkish airstrikes since Ankara’s reconciliation talks with the PKK it considers a terrorist organization ended in July 2015.
The PKK seeks to create a Kurdish state in parts of Turkey and Iraq.
