"In Syria, coalition military forces conducted eight strikes using ground-attack, attack, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft against Daesh targets," CENTCOM stated on Wednesday. "Additionally in Iraq, coalition military forces conducted 17 strikes coordinated with and in support of the Government of Iraq using rocket artillery and attack, fighter, and remotely piloted aircraft against Daesh targets."
Eight airstrikes near three Syrian cities, Mara, Raqqa and Manbij, destroyed six Daesh’s tactical units, as well as mortar and fighting positions and a weapons storage facility.
The US-led coalition also conducted 17 airstrikes near ten Iraqi cities to the north and west of Baghdad, including Kirkuk, Ramadi and Mosul. The strikes destroyed multiple Daesh tactical units and staging areas, among other targets.
The Daesh is a terrorist group outlawed in the United States, Russia and numerous other countries. The infamous group has seized large areas in Syria and Iraq and declared a caliphate on territories under its control.
