Pentagon Claims Russia Continues to Engage in Airstrikes in Syria

Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said that in the last 24 hours Russians continued engaging in some airstrikes in Syria.

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) — The US Department of Defense claims that Russia has continued to engage in airstrikes in Syria after Moscow announced the withdrawal of its air group from the country, Pentagon Press Secretary Peter Cook said in a press briefing on Tuesday.

“We have seen in the last 24 hours Russians continue engaging in some airstrikes in Syria,” Cook said.
